Pondless Ponds
The latest thing in the world of water features are "pondless ponds". These are water features that resemble a river bed with enough rocks that the water stays below the surface level. They are easy to maintain yet retain the beauty and serenity of a living pond.
Pondless Ponds are much like regular ponds in that they are both lined holes in the ground. However Pondless ponds are filled with rock to eliminate open water. Being filled with rock, the Pondless pond removes fears homeowners may have about children and open water.
Pondless ponds also decrease maintenance by lowering the chance of algae growth. By removing open water, there is no longer a lighted water area for algae to grow.
